Off to a great start so far! Going to make it my New Year’s Resolution to use my Canon 60-D more in the coming year. So many times I get too busy and I don’t notice the things around me…in my neighborhood, community, the great state of Georgia, etc. So with camera in tow, I am setting out to take a shot at least once a month that I can feel good showing. I am not a professional photographer. Let’s just get that out front now. But I do love this medium. So here’s my January picture taken up on the Square in my town. Recently I started a kitchen renovation in the Atlanta area. The old kitchen had two windows that needed to be removed to accommodate the new layout. One of the windows looked out onto a back porch that was closed in several years ago to create a sunroom…however, cabinets were now slated to go along that wall on the kitchen side. The homeowner sent me this photo. It is a great idea on what to do with the rough opening of the old window to add charm and functionality to the sunroom . Very easy to accomplish, too.

Had such a great time down in Mobile last week shooting with Danny and the gang! We highlighted 13 new products for the show in the Home Depot. We even got a bit of a scare during taping on Thursday when the weather turned for the worse and the tornado sirens started to blare. The HD manager and staff were fantastic in getting all of the folks in the store gathered together in the training room to protect against any possible danger. Forty-five minutes later the coast was cleared and we were back at it on the aisles, with a 10% discount coupon for all to shop just for the weather interruption! Looking forward to heading back down to see what other exciting things we can get ourselves into! Never a dull moment on Today’s Homeowner!
